So How Do You Pick A Trail?

The ‘AllTrails’ phone app is an excellent place to start. AllTrails allows you to search by Location, Activity (Hiking, Mountain Biking), Difficulty, Trail Rating, Trail Feature, Trail Distance, Dog Friendly, etc.  AllTrails will also give you driving directions to the trailhead and allow you to track yourself on the trail so you don’t accidentally make a wrong turn along the trail (been there, done that).  The “Comments/Reviews” section is also a great resource.  Quickly skim this section for comments that fellow hikers have left behind in the past few weeks.  Valuable feedback that can include things such as much of the trail still being snow packed and the road leading up to the trailhead because closed off due to construction.  The best part is that AllTrails can be used to find trails all across the Globe, not just in Colorado.
